Our time in Miami began very early in the morning after a long overnight flight and landing around 5:30 in the morning. We took a city bus from the airport to South Beach where we planned to hit the beach until it was time to check into our hotel.
Katie tired with the stuff at 6AM in South Beach
Who knew South Beach was the place to go to find strays. A good spot to live when its warm all year round I suppose! Shortly after a stop to see the cats, the sky grew very very dark..
Around 8AM the rains began, we took refuge in a Starbucks
Paul was not very impressed with the rain!
Hotel Edgewater
Our Hotel was called Edgewater and it was wonderful, from letting us check in early to get out the rain, to free happy hour and complementary breakfast on the rooftop patio every day, and only steps away from the park and beach!
Our room was HUGE!! So Spoiled!
And of course we had to go the beach! The beach was awesome and the water was so warm!
For dinner we went to a hotel restaurant a block away from our hotel, and loved the relaxed yet treated like royalty atmosphere.
We couldn't believe the size of the drinks..yet everywhere in South Beach seemed to serve this size!
