Grand Turk
This was our last port on the cruise. It was our favourite port to just kick back and relax at. When you got on the island you arrived at the 'cruise centre', which consisted of duty free stores, a huge pool complete with pool bars and party music, beach, restaurants and bars.
Now one of the reasons there are fewer pictures at this stop is because a few hours into the day Paul lost his wallet somewhere between the pool, the bar, and where our stuff was. Unfortunately the last 4 hours spent in port were spent looking for it, checking all the restaurants, stores, getting the DJ to make announcements every 15 minutes or so. It was very stressful especially knowing we were the only boat in port so that means that someone had it, that was either staff at the centre, or someone from our ship.
We ended up boarding the ship without it and praying for the best. Around 8:00pm that night the service desk called us and told us it had been turned in (with all the cash and everything!). Apparently some woman found it in her bag after returning to the ship. We figure it must have fallen some where and someone thinking they were being helpful stuck it in the closest bag, which unfortunately was the incorrect bag. But we were thrilled to get it back and it gave us a lot more confidence that the boat was still safe.
The kitty Paul made friends with who was trying to cheer him up when we were looking for his wallet.
