St. Tomas U.S. Virgin Islands
This island was gorgeous and had the most interesting culture ever. The people seem to live for 2 things here: Rum and Diamonds. Drinking and driving is legal, so is jaywalking...but if you dare to jaywalk, be warned, you are at fault if a drunk (or any) driver hits you! We had a couple adventures here, beginning with a scenic drive up to the highest point on the island for breathtaking views and the famous Banana Daiquiri.
Our next adventure on this island was to go back into the city to Visit Blackbeard's Castle (and Rum Factory).
Inside the tower
The View from the Tower
All in a days Work
Rum being aged. It had quite the stench!
On the same site as Blackbeard's castle, there were also some historic old governers' home's. They were beautiful, with all sorts of expensive (for the day) woods and styles.
Our Boat
Paul in some 'sticky situations'.
Pretty Much straight rum....with a little bit of sugar syrup!
THE blackbeard's Revenge
Lunch downtown at some little cafe.
Our Last adventure on this island was the skyride. It had beautiful views and wonderful walking trails up in the jungle at the top!
And that Concludes our day on St. Thomas!
