Skagit Valley: Ross Lake

We went camping with some friends to Ross Lake. It was sooooo pretty. Apparently there is only water on the canadian side in the summer, and we made sure to enjoy it! It was a wonderful weekend (even with a few million misquitos around!)

The Border is marked with just a small white marker and a sign on the road....how strange when you consider how much money and effort is poured into border control every year...

Bluey Lake

We went camping this weekend for some of our good friends B-days. It was a blast! The trip commenced with free iced habiscus berry drinks from starbucks (That tasted just like Jamaica! Que Rico!) as we hit the road!

After a few hours drive, and a quick dinner in Merritt, we arrived at Bluey Lake!

We put 7 tents on one site!

The weekend was filled with fun and friends, sunshine as well as lightening, and lots of laughs, food, campfires and good times!

Campfires were a highlight of the weekend. Nothing better then sitting around a fire on a nice summers night with friends!

Nothing says camping like burgers on the grill!

mmm s'mores!

Even the dogs are all tired out after a fabulous day camping!

On the way home at the end of the weekend, we stopped in Manning Park to visit the ground squirrels.
